Job Resources

Josie Dominguez Perez Ideas:
1. Reel Watch: Students can upload their reels and evaluate/critique each others reels.
2. Resume Workshop: students can get help and post and we should link out jobs sources for them.
3. Intern spot: Students can express their opinions on their experiences where they've interned.
4. Job spot: peers posting positions they hear about.

Tony Fantano's Idea

Tony Fantano's first idea: There should be a current list of broadcasting organizations that operate in the Bay Area. The link below is a list of the radio stations in the Bay Area some have links:Bay Area Radio

Having a place where BECA students and alumni can look up job opportunities around the United States is a great resource. Whether it’s for students getting ready to graduate or alumni looking for a job, as people graduate and move on up it’s important to keep up with available job opportunities. Whether in a major, or small market, having a Webpage with links to different states and organizing the job listings that way is a great tool. (Veronica)

Lorena Zuluaga's Idea

The most important reason why networking is so valuable is because it provides job connections. We could design a place where all its members have a profile, where they have a list of projects they have done. A place where you can advertise your self for a possible job. A place where people who are looking for crew members can access your profile. Here is an example of a great site that people use to find jobs through advertising themselves to a particular community. Find a community Through this site people find other people who have a common interest and relevant information to that interest. For example for broadcaster, people's profiles contain small trailers of things they have done. This is a great way to network and a great way to search for jobs or to make your self available for jobs that may come up within the community.
